Die vorliegenden Aufnahmen entstanden zwischen April 1920 und September 1923 in Camden, New Jersey. Händels "O Sleep! Why Dost Thou Leave me?", ein Werk mit komplexer Atemtechnik und voll tonaler Schönheit sowie Sängers Trost von Schumann, eine der schönsten Aufnahmen aus Schumanns Liedern, sind besonders bemerkenswert. Neben vier Einspielungen gemeinsam mit dem Violinisten Fritz Kreisler beinhaltet diese CD auch drei weitere, zu Lebzeiten des Sängers unveröffentlichte Aufnahmen. Erstmals kann der Hörer in den Genuss der Interpretation McCormacks von Rachmaninovs "To the Children" und Merikantos "A Fairy Story By The Fire" kommen.
